Pyramid Systems is currently seeking a Java Developer. This person will provide back-end software development for a Federal client’s software applications and system. The engineer must have knowledge in all stages of software development and will be working alongside other developers, team leads, architect, and business analysts to ensure all development deliverables meet the requirements. We have co-located agile teams that work closely with our clients to build high quality solutions. The Mid-level Java Software Engineer designs, develops, tests, and implements software applications. This engineer will also mentor and coach junior software engineers.
Required Experience with the following:
- 5+ years of Java Development experience, and restful API experience is ideal.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates and AJAX. CKEditor for WYSIWYG editor modifications and enhancements.
- Demonstrates ability to do technical design and development by using modern web technologies.
- Strong focus on unit testing code.
Preferred Desired Experience (These can be learned on the Job):
- Knowledgeable in Selenium, Mocha or other testing frameworks
- Optimize application for performance and load.
- Experience with Oracle Databases.
- Strong focus on unit testing code.
- Proficient in tools like LESS or SASS.
- Ajax technology for rich user experience
- Detail-oriented, results-driven, and works well within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience troubleshooting systems issues.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.
