The Front End Software Engineer at PointsBet will be an integral part of the Tech Team as the company looks to expand across the USA. This role includes hands-on design and development utilising front end technologies. Responsibilities
- Work closely with members of software engineering and product teams to build new features and enhancements.
 - Adhere to best practices in terms of code quality, test and development practices.
 - Translating UI/UX design to code and produce visual elements of the platform
 - Build reusable code and libraries for future use
 - Optimise UI for maximum speed and scalability
 
Education, Skills and Experience
- Masters or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or technology-related discipline) from a reputable university
 - Superior verbal and written communication skills
 - Strong JavaScript development experience
 - Expertise in building complex layouts with HTML 5 & CSS 3 (SASS/LESS)
 - Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch
 - Experience in implementing responsive designs (Bootstrap)
 - Proficient understanding of XML, JSON and interacting with APIs
 - Proficient understanding of front end task managers, such as Grunt, Gulp
 - Strong knowledge of code versioning tools (Git)
 - Experience investigating and improving JavaScript performance
 - Experience building and debugging complex systems in a team environment
 - Experience with modern browser technologies
 - Strong UX and design sensibilities
