As a Cloud & DevOps Engineer, you’ll be part of our Cloud & DevOps team - a team of diverse thinkers, builders, and leaders - who strive to delight, and get their hands dirty by designing and automating infrastructure orchestration and CI/CD.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and deliver efficient/repeatable infrastructure through the latest configuration management tools and Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Participate in fast moving Agile engineering teams.
- Drive Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment excellence through implementation of build/deploy infrastructure, enabling highly efficient software teams to develop/test rapidly in a short amount of time.
- Be a key contributor within our team of trusted advisors that guide best practice and innovation in DevOps and Cloud for Industrie&Co and our Clients.
- Understand, configure and manage non-functional software aspects including: Application/Infra Monitoring and Logging, Networking, Security, Performance, Compliance.
- Embrace technologies that assist in the development and delivery of high quality software that is fit for purpose.

- An empathetic communication-style, and are motivated by an opportunity to help clients solve their key challenges.

- Proven history of software engineering and site development with modern languages and processes that are fit for purpose.
- Experience in automating configuration of infrastructure and servers with a focus on operational readiness through security, reliability and scale.
- Worked with teams that embrace agile techniques and approaches to software delivery.
- Exposure to all facets of designing, developing, delivering and iterating quality software, particularly modern web and mobile applications.
- Previous involvement in hands-on troubleshooting of technical faults for both software and infrastructure through to resolution, ideally without being reliant on external vendor support.
- Demonstrable hands-on experience with Public/Private/Hybrid cloud, certifications get you bonus points.
- Good understanding of various software deployment environments.
- An understanding of Software Release Management, source repository management and a deep understanding of related concepts such as branching, merging, hooks, etc.
- Working knowledge of Artifact repository management and concepts, as well as CI/CD build/test/release jobs and pipelines.
- A good understanding of various software deployment environments, pros and cons, such as: Containers and Container Orchestration, Serverless and FaaS, and Physical and Virtualized Servers.
- Experience with Infrastructure Automation, including the ability to code/script with a variety of SCM/orchestration tooling such as Terraform, Ansible, Salt, Puppet, etc.
- Have worked with Identity Management and Access Control, as well as secure management of secrets and keys.
- Understand auto-scaling and implementation of high availability through different clustering topologies.
- And finally, experience managing cost optimisation.
