Job Summary
This in house role is located in our Greenland NH office. This position will be solely responsible for the management, operation and security of our cloud services including Windows IIS Servers, SQL Servers and back-up storage subsystems.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor system performance: Including security on a daily basis
- Perform weekly and monthly maintenance tasks
- Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance
- ​Create increased functionality
- Perform proactive maintenance (space availability, monitor activity, document problems, changes & solutions.)
- Stay up to date on systems security best practices
- Make recommendations to DevOps team on cloud services platforms (Amazon AWS/Azure)
- Troubleshoot and diagnose system performance issues
- Confirm correct configuration of new cloud services deployments including:
- ​SQL server and storage setup
- Ensure monitoring and backup is operational
- Plan and execute systems and SQL server upgrades
- Assist technical support team for service escalations and server issues
- Act as an expert technical resource to development staff for SQL performance and lead complex modeling, simulations and analysis efforts.
Qualifications and Skills
- 3 or more years of experience as a SQL Server DBA or Systems Admin
- Security management a plus
