Senior Data Scientist at Miner & Kasch (Atlanta, GA)

Miner & Kasch is seeking a highly motivated Senior Data Scientist for Miner & Kaschs quickly growing consulting and services team. In this role, you would be tasked with exploring data, developing predictive models, leveraging machine learning, and building artificial intelligence systems to significantly improve M&Ks customers outcomes.


You should have broad knowledge of predictive analytics techniques, natural language processing, deep learning, modeling tools, and data platforms. You should also be a great communicator and team leader comfortable with providing guidance to other M&K team members and sharing results and ideas with non-technical business stakeholders.


Qualifications:

  • M.S./Ph.D. Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Life Sciences) plus some industry experience performing data science in industry. The right candidate may substitute strong industry and leadership experience for academic background.

  • Capable of independently recommending statistical, machine learning, and artificial intelligence approaches to customers on novel problems.

  • Extensive experience in one or more of: Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Time Series Analysis, or Deep Learning.

  • Proficient in Python and the Python data analysis stack: particularly scikit-learn and Pandas. Other programming experience in Java and Scala a plus.

  • Some exposure to Big Data platforms, particularly Apache Spark.

  • Some exposure to working with Database systems such as Postgres, MySql, Oracle, Redshift, Teradata, Greenplum, or BigQuery.

  • Proficiency working with Linux systems including writing shell scripts, file manipulation, and other basic facilities.

  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, and/or Microsoft Azure.
