As an Information Technology Director, you will take oversight of our desktop, networking, cloud and data center operations including all infrastructure and application components. You will ensure confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and systems. This candidate will align with our corporate strategy, partners and vendors to support the on-going needs of the business as well as to leverage and integrate with broader companywide technology roadmap initiatives. This role will have a forward-thinking perspective with a well-informed point of view on the changing role of information technology in supporting and enabling the business. You should have a strong grasp of business fundamentals and ability to create the bridge between technology strategy and business strategy. You should possess the capacity to clearly communicate to non-technical audiences, such as peer executives, field personnel, users/ stakeholders and vendors. The ideal candidate will possess the proven ability to translate complex technology issues into terms that inform decision makers and must be comfortable supporting a rapidly expanding organization including professional office staff and remote drilling and production operations.

The IT Director must have the ability to build and develop the IT organization, processes and procedures to support the companys needs providing both hands-on tactical management and strategic direction.  Experience and ability to assess, deploy, manage Technology Service Providers and/or various Managed Service Providers.


Responsibilities

·       Manage broad infrastructure technologies; on premises and cloud resources, data center implementations, migration to the cloud, networking, telecommunications, backup, security and desktop management

·       Manage service delivery of Managed Service Providers with the ability to create/manage/measure Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for external and internal purposes

·       Developing business case for investment in hardware, software and/or cloud capabilities with the best org design supporting business operations; present state & future state alignment

·       Experienced with both On-Premise and Cloud technology solutions to properly manage the most optimum for application architecture

·       Analyzes business needs presented by the user community and recommends technical solutions

·       Scan the environment to understand current and emerging marketplace trends and advise on business impact

·       Raise users sophistication and ability to leverage analytics to provide data-driven insights to frontline decision makers using existing technologies

·       Manage IT security and implement controls requirements while promoting security awareness in the organization; comply with internal and external audit as it relates to SOX/ITGC, etc

·       Overseeing and determining timeframes for major IT projects including system updates, upgrades, migrations and outages

·       Develops and manages the budget for the IT program demonstrating the business benefits and cost-effectiveness of different technology solutions

·       Knowledge of common application models in the oil & gas sector with proven track record for implementing autonomy integration; ERP, High Computing GGRE, Mobile Rig/Shorebase, SCADA/PI PDMS, HSSE/ICS/COP, SCM, DnC. Integrate real time drilling, operations, and production information to fit management, analysis, and regulatory requirements

·       Coordinate with geoscience and reservoir leadership team in managing data analysis and processing requirements

·       Thorough understanding or risk management principles and methodologies leveraging solutions to govern the ticketing, asset management, change management & Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Planning

Qualifications

·       Must have worked at exploration and production or upstream service provider

·       Strong technical knowledge, leadership, and team management experience are required with strong service delivery and change management skills

·       Develop, implement, communicate and maintain policies and procedures for area of responsibility

·       Experience with Cybersecurity, Anti-Virus, patch management, intrusion detection/ prevention, firewalls, encryption, network infrastructure security, and infrastructure management and event monitoring systems to all accessed points of corporate environment and can develop mitigating plans to enhance the security posture of enterprise information systems assets

·       Team player with good interpersonal and influencing skills. Ability to work under pressure to tight timelines and without direct supervision

·       Excellent negotiation, contract management, and problem-solving skills

·       Ability to be forward-looking and strategic while delivering reliable IT services tactically

·       Experience building high performing teams with the ability to place the right employees in the right roles for team success

·       Ensure transformation of abstract regulatory requirements into cohesive compliance actions



Education

·       15+ years of senior experience in IT, IS Security, Compliance, IT/IS risk or related field

·       Information security qualifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CRISC) are preferable

·       Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering required

·       Masters degree preferred
