Job Description
IBM's Tech Re-Entry program is looking for talented technical professionals who are looking to restart their careers after an absence from the workforce of two years or more. This paid 12 week returnship will enable you to work on projects that match your expertise, interests, and abilities and could lead to full-time employment. During your IBM Tech Re-Entry returnship program, you will have the opportunity to update your skills in a contemporary work environment. You will have access to the latest tools and technologies available and work alongside a multi-disciplinary teams to hone your expertise and deliver on client-critical solutions. You'll be able to experience the breadth of IBM resources while developing new skills and relationships.
As a Designer you will do software design for product deliverables
Additional responsibilities for this role are:
- create designs for assigned project
- review designs with team
- modify and update designs based on feedback
- test designs with internal and/or external stakeholders
- playback designs to stakeholders
- become familiar with and follow team design and development processes
- test implementation of designs, opening defects where the implementation does not follow the design specification
- collaborate across design team when appropriate to ensure a holistic solution approach to epics, user stories and tasks that could cross multiple products
General Skills:
- Skills in assessing business and user scenarios, approaches and deliverables
- Communication and presentation skills
- Creative, conceptual, and problem solving skills
- Familiarity with enterprise software, product interfaces, and other industry trends
- Ability to create end to end UX and/or visual designs
- Knowledge of software tools for design, production and implementation
- Information architecture, user interface, user interaction and/or visual design skills
In order to qualify for this returnship, you must have been out of the full-time workforce for a minimum of 2 years. Upon acceptance of the offer you are required to attend 3 days orientation in HQ Armonk, NY
