Fiserv, an international financial services technology provider, produces payments processing technology for more than 10,000 clients globally. They are seeking Java Developers who have worked on payments transaction software for new product builds, enhancements to existing products and integrations of platforms for long term 2 year contracts with an opportunity to convert into full-time employees!


Lead Java / Unix Engineer - Contract - Parsippany, NJ

* The Software Development Engineer Lead will acts as a technical lead and overall Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all the applications within the assigned Debit Back Office Application portfolio.
* Participate as a key member of the CPT, providing the necessary technical expertise and guidance to members of the Delivery Team, with the primary responsible for delivering best-in-class technical solutions.
* Provide the necessary technical expert and oversight to the Product Owner, Application Owner, and Program Manager to plan and assign work (stories and tasks) to associates,
* Analyze business and functional requirements to understand system and operational impacts.
* Identify and recommend changes in software applications and interfaces, processes and procedures.
* Provide technical expertise to size the scope of work in order to accommodate the workflow.


Lead Java / Unix Engineer Skills & Requirements:

* Bachelor degree in computer science or a related field.
* Five+ years' of experience designing, coding, and testing applications using Unix, Java, Perl, and C++
* Three+ years' of experience developing applications for the financial industry that support critical and high volume transaction processing
* Three+ years' experience using Waterfall and Agile methodologies
* Experience working with remote and offshore development teams.
* Good verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred skills/experiences/education:
* Master degree in computer science or a related field
