In this role you will:
- Be embedded in the engineering scrum team and responsible for overall test strategy, test automation development and production releases.
- Follow and implement our Quality Engineering strategy; including, leveraging tools, technologies and processes for Test Automation at all levels, (e.g. Unit testing, Integration testing, System-level testing, Load testing, Performance testing, etc.).
- Utilize your strong Java development skills to design, develop and utilize Automated Test tools and frameworks for verifying and validation of data products, insights and recommendation algorithms.
- Closely Interact with domain QE team, Developers, PMs, PMO and data scientists.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- 7+ years of in-depth Software developer in Test/Quality Engineering work experience, (preferably focused on Quality Engineering within a large-scale public cloud or similar environment)
- Strong Java programming skills, (active coding) with 3-4 years Java development or object oriented programing languages experience.
- Hands-on experience with the latest Test Automation tools and frameworks in testing (e.g. JUnit, TestNG, HtmlUnit, HTTP Clients, Selenium WebDriver, Appium etc.)
- Strong background as an individual contributor in testing highly complex, scalable and reliable web-based applications.
- Strong understanding of Web or Mobile-related technologies, (Operating Systems, Web Services, Communication Protocols, etc.).
- Experience with Testing in the Cloud is highly desirable, (e.g. AWS).
- Understanding of, and appreciation for, Test Driven Development (TDD) and Test Automation.
- One or more scripting language is desirable (Preferably Python)
- Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and principles.
