This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- Full stack development expertise, with specific focus on Java technology with Spring Frameworks as well as HTML5 / CSS3, JavaScript UI development experience and related front end Javascript libraries experience, such as Ember, AngularJS, JQuery, D3, or equivalent
- Polished communication abilities for internal and external clients
- Deep understanding of relational and NoSQL data stores including Oracle 11 or later
- Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes
- Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
- Ability to lead and work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
Required Skills:
- 7-10+ years of experience of Java software engineering
- Experience leading a team of 5+ members, including coaching, training, career development.
- Capable of working with limited supervision.
- Ability to write well-abstracted, reusable and efficient code and correctly employ design patterns
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation
- Experience collaborating with business partners, BA, QA and PM teams for effective testing and delivery
- Experience designing and implementing real-time web applications on both front-end and back-end components
- Strong knowledge of HTTP and related protocols
- Hands on knowledge of Integrated Development Environment (IDE), version control software, client and server side build and packaging utilities and profiling/tuning, such as: Sublime, Eclipse, Node.js Package Manager (NPM), Maven, or GIT is required
- Experience in recovery, migration and upgrades
Desired Skills:
