The Business Intelligence and Analytics Services team provides support for organizations throughout campus. Our current technology stack includes HANA, DB2, SQL Server, Informatica Power Center, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS) and SAP Data Services.



The Business Intelligence team is directing a BI Modernization program that includes the creation of new centralized data stores and rollout of an enterprise level BI tools. The program is engaging all VC areas in development of data models and BI reporting to address functional requirements. Join our team of experienced and innovative developers in creating strategic tools that will drive success for students, staff and faculty here at UC San Diego.



Responsibilities: Independently analyzes complex information requirements and documents them. Apply advanced data /information management concepts and campus/medical center/OP objectives to resolve highly complex issues where analyses of situations, information or data require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Select methods and techniques to obtain desired results. Design and create extraction, transformation and load (ETL) of data for the data warehouse in support of BI/Analytic functions using Informatica (Power Center and IICS) and SAP Data Services. Test the designs to ensure data accuracy and loads efficiently. Use a big-picture view of a university's data situation to utilize tools and techniques that align with the overall enterprise architecture roadmap. Assist in design of data warehouse structures and view development.



QUALIFICATIONS


• Proven experience with Extract, Transform, Load tools, specifically Informatica.


• Demonstrated ability to prepare complex data models unassisted.


• Demonstrated experience in data integration and the specification of data services.


• Proven modeling and information design skills.


• Familiarity with highly complex logical data design and data mapping or data conversion.


• Advanced problem-solving skills. Able to learn effectively and meet deadlines.


• Self-motivated and works independently and as part of a team.



Preferred Qualifications:


• Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS)


• Experience with SAP Data Services


• Experience with HANA


• Experience in higher education data.



SPECIAL CONDITIONS

• Must pass a background check.
