POSITION SUMMARY:
B. F. Saul Company, a private real estate company named one of the Top Places to Work in 2014 by the Washington Post, is seeking a motivated software developer to complete our team. As part of the IT Department’s application development staff, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of software applications across several lines of business (hospitality, residential, office, retail, insurance, investments).
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Duties will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Develop and maintain custom business applications as part of a small, dynamic team
- Assist with research and development of new technologies
- Support the resolution of user questions and tickets
- Participate in project and department meetings
Skills & Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS (SKILLS/ABILITIES):
- Experience with object-oriented software development (C# preferred, Java/C/C++ acceptable)
- Experience with web front-end technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. MS SQL) is a plus
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Passion for technology and willingness to learn
- Participation in open source/community development is a plus
EDUCATION / LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
- BS in Computer Science (or related field) or equivalent experience
