MicroStrategy Developer at ixStrata, Inc. (New York, NY)

We are looking for an experienced MicroStrategy developer for a 4 - 9 month contract position.  The ideal candidate is located either in New York or Houston but remote work is possible as well.

We are looking for an individual with 3 to 5 years hands on experience working with MicroStrategy reports and dashboards in an enterprise environment.  Experience with MicroStrategy performance monitoring.  A strong background in SQL, database, and data warehouse concepts.  Demonstrated willingness to learn about business processes and partner with business sponsors, business analysts, and project managers to provide reporting using MicroStrategy.

Extensive experience in MicroStrategy development including:

1. 
   
2. Report, Document, and Visual Insight Dashboard (Dossier) design and creation
   
3. Drill downs and drill through in MicroStrategy
   
4. Custom regions with Map objects in MicroStrategy
   
5. Debug SQL generated by MicroStrategy report objects
   
6. Metric, level metrics, transforms, filter, and prompt creation, and selectors creation and use
   
7. Experience in a Data Warehouse environment reporting on dimensions/hierarchies
   
8. Data merge and data wrangling
   
9. Intelligent Cube design and creation
   
10. MicroStrategy security and administration
    
11. MicroStrategy VLDB settings
