About the Role


We have multiple roles available as we continue to expand our teams in Melbourne. As Senior Software Engineer you’ll make an impact building our Financial Market products. Our Melbourne Head Office is home to several applications across Trading, Market Data and Portfolio Management. We process over 10K transactions per second with 2 million+ users globally.



  • Tech stack includes C++ 17, MFC, .Net, Python, SQL,

  • Tools include JIRA, Git, SonarQube, Artifactory, Visual Studio 2015, JIRA and TeamCity

  • You will build complex, high performance, multithreaded trading application with a global user base

  • Develop high-quality automation test scripts to improve test coverage and product quality

  • Be part of a collaborative team as we implement AGILE methods and improve our automated testing and continuous delivery pipelines

  • Review and analyse business requirements whilst enhancing our product offering

  • You'll gain exposure to modern development methods as we migrate to AWS and introduce DevOps practices

  • You’ll identify product and process weaknesses and possible refinements

  • Take a lead on projects whilst mentoring junior team members

  • You’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills learn from industry specialists

  • Be part of an environment that fosters innovation and welcomes new ideas

  • Keep up to date with technical trends, tools and methodologies, undertake research as required

This includes developing your technical and/or leadership skills or simply solving new problems in other teams.


About You



  • Experience in a similar role as Software Engineer, Developer, Programmer etc.

  • Comfortable with C++, n-tier architecture, multithreading and SQL.

  • Good design, development and collaboration skills gained in developing software product solutions

  • Effective communication skills both written and verbal

  • Creative mindset with an appetite to tackle complex problems
