Job Summary:



The Banner ERP Manager (ERPM ) manages the Banner Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP ) system, and is responsible for evaluating the ERP and recommending changes to meet organizational needs. ERPM consults with ERP users, making sure systems are adequate, functional and in line with business requirements. ERPM sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, and monitors progress for highly effective and efficient use of the College's ERP system. Leads the implementation of new organizational processes aligned with current and future ERP configuration. ERPM oversees the work of personnel and provides technical guidance. Manages staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adheres to approved budgets.



Essential Functions:



1. Manages ERP system from an operational, functional perspective to ensure that Banner is being used in the most effective manner possible to address cross-functional user needs.


2. Provides leadership for and assistance in the review, coordination, and approval of upgrades and patches to the Banner modules.


3. Identifies needed resources, negotiates use of those resources, assigns responsibilities, and develops a project plan and timeframe to facilitate successful completion of project activities and deliverables.


4. Sets and manages stakeholder expectations specific to ERP operations and projects.


5. Manages execution of project plans in support of the ongoing needs of the ERP users. Develops and communicates project goals, milestones, responsibilities, expectations, and risks to appropriate parties in a timely manner. Manages the stated scope and requirements assuring changes are highlighted, understood, and approved by owners.


6. Leads meetings, assigns action items to staff and ensures plan execution by due dates.


7. Builds productive working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in ERP and related projects.


8. Assists in the development of quality control and test plans/test cases and assures all applicable deliverables are completed according to those specifications.


9. Maintains regular communication and works collaboratively with staff for the proactive identification of areas for improvement/enhancement, assessment of the status of current projects, and monitoring of the effectiveness of changes implemented.


10. Designs, plans, and implements automated processes that ensure data integrity and accuracy.


11. As needed, creates presentations and presents to College leadership.


12. Manages the delivery of Banner training to IT staff, Banner Core Team, and other Banner users.


13. Develops and maintains relevant internal SOP , policy, and procedure documentation.


14. Use Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL ) standards-based service management approach to manage operational practices.


15. Works with leadership to implement and then effectively sustaining a technology governance structure.


16. Attends professional development conferences, seminars, workshops, and webinars to stay abreast of current regulations, trends, and best practices in managing the Banner ERP system.


17. Performs other duties as assigned.

Accountabilities:



Under the limited supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the ERPM is responsible for leading departmental staff and managing day-to-day work and on-going projects, as well as executing assigned duties.



Job Specifications:



Bachelor’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems highly preferred. Three or more years of IT department experience highly preferred. One or more years of management experience required. Functional and technical Banner experience required. Prior experience implementing ERP software and/or modules preferred. Experience with ITIL framework, system development methodologies and Agile techniques highly preferred. Experience with SQL Server and VB.Net programing preferred. Experience developing procedural documentation and training materials preferred. Experience facilitating group and individual end user meetings and training for employees with varying technology skill levels preferred. Must demonstrate leadership qualities, such as conflict/issue resolution, strong project management skills, and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Evening and weekend work may be required.



Grade: 10



Salary Range: $52,000 - $75,000
