The Third Party Software Governance group under the J.P. Morgan Chase CTO Office Technology Portfolio Management function, enables robust third party software governance that is tightly governed per established guidelines.



Key objectives for this effort are:


·Establish and execute standard Technology Product governance framework from on-boarding to disposal for the firm


·Rationalize Third Party software footprint


·Streamline new third party software on-boarding process



This position in the new Third Party Software Governance group responsible for technical governance of the software portfolio for the assigned domain(s).



Key Responsibilities include: 


Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes


Proficiency in modern programming languages


·Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals


·Manage third party software portfolio of existing third party assets in inventory, in-flight on-boarding and other on-going strategic & BAU programs of work


·Analyze new software pipeline for the domain(s)


·Ensure the existing software have valid business capability mapping at an application and component level


·Evaluate new software capability vs. business capability


·Work with technology users and application owners to ensure software need vs. capabilities


·Identify opportunities to leverage existing software that meets the technology need


·Work with architecture committees at the LOB and GT levels to stay on top of guidelines


·Drive defined standards and ensure all artifacts are updated if/when there are changes to guidelines.


Qualifications:



  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • 7+ years of experience in application development in the financial sector

  • Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

  • Ability to clearly articulate complex problems and come up with approaches to solve the gaps, strong documentation and reporting skills

  • Strong presence, comfortable interacting with and presenting to all levels of management

  • Superior attention to details and process skills
