WHAT YOU’LL DO: POSITION OVERVIEW
- Mentor software engineering teams in a role that is 60-70% team mentorship and architecture and 30-40% hands on problem solving, root cause analysis, and product development.
- Build next generation applications to solve complex problems in the real estate industry. Specifically you'll be working on our online real estate Auction product, which is a very visible and business critical product (tied to a lot of revenue) within Xome.
- Work with a world-class engineering and product team to deliver innovative products for our customers
- Lead technical architecture, help establish standards and ensure designs and implementation follow standards
- Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineers
- Design, build, and test high quality complex frameworks and systems while diagnosing and resolving complex issues
- Implement continuous build and automated unit test frameworks
- Ensure that implementation follows designs, and directs modifications of designs
WHO YOU ARE: SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- A Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred. We will also consider candidates with practical working experience commensurate with a formal degree.
- Qualified Principal Engineers should have 10+ years' work experience (or a comparable combination of education and experience) in software development with demonstrable growth and acquisition of new skills.
- We are seeking hands-on experience and demonstrable expertise with the following technologies/methodologies:
- Agile Methodology (3+ years' formal experience with Agile Development Processes)
- C#, ASP.NET, MVC, MS SQL Server
- SOAP and REST web services
- JavaScript, jQuery, JSON
- TFS, JIRA
- Elmah custom logging
- Qualified candidates will demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively in teams, or independently as needed, with the ability to self-manage against deadlines and project expectations.
- Qualified candidates will possess strong verbal and written communication skills as required to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
