Responsibilities:
- Performs administration, operation, technical support, and monitoring of systems Services and applications.
- Undertakes troubleshooting of systems services and applications. If the problem persists, escalates to higher level in accordance with procedures.
- Performs 24x7 operations of assigned systems.
- Assists in identifying the need for new systems or re-engineering of the existing systems
- Collects various statistics on the performance and reliability of service systems, and produces pertinent reports.
- Maintains the documentation of systems services, pertinent to operations and system administration.
- Detects problem patterns and recommends solutions
- Provides guidance and training to new/junior staff.
- Prepares, maintains, and updates files (electronic and paper) and internal databases.
- Drafts documentation and reports.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Experience
- A minimum of 7 years of relevant technical experience in information technology is required.
- Experience with the management of Apache, Apache Tomcat Servers is required
- Experience with Designing / Maintaining / Configuring Open Source Database Clusters (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL) is required.
- Experience with the management of Apache Solr and related Indexing and Search Technologies is required.
- Experience with Designing, maintaining and configuring Build Systems for Continuous Integration / Delivery (Atlassian Bamboo, JIRA, Nexus) is required
- Experience managing container Based Deployment Environments (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernets) is required.
- Experience supporting End-to-End Testing Environments for Developer and QA Teams (Selenium / WebDriver) is desirable.
- Experience configuring Monitoring Solutions for Production Environments (ZABBIX) is desirable.
- Solid Understanding of Linux, Routing, Networks and Network Security is desirable
