Kamu (previously known as EasyAntiCheat) was established by entrepreneurial gamers in 2013 and exists around a shared love of gaming, excellence, and technology. As a fast growing startup, Kamu today provides live services to over 47 online multiplayer PC games in collaboration with over 33 game studios. They are currently looking to grow the team significantly as they are branching out with new services beyond anti-cheat.  These services build upon the existing infrastructure that already serves over 44 772 804 million users and gives us unmatched ability to provide state of the art tools for the PC gaming industry.

As a member of our web team you’ll be designing and implementing new features for customer facing web services, enhancing current systems and building new ones from scratch. The online services provide dashboards that are critical to the daily work of our in-house R&D teams, as well as to customer representatives worldwide.

The core stack is based on ReactJS and Django, while we also offer endless possibilities to work with the technologies you think suit best as we’re actively developing several other new and exciting services and products. As a member of our team, your main responsibilities will be defining and developing microservices that evolve around our web-dashboards.

We’re always looking for humble, hungry, razor–sharp people who live and breathe gaming and technology. We promise to give you entrepreneurial freedom with a focus on action and kicking ass. We embrace those who dare to see things differently, who aren’t afraid to experiment, and who have a healthy disregard for rules and constraints. You will work independently to swiftly identify, develop, and deliver a continuous flow of new awe-inspiring features. In our service and code we value not only excellent functionality but also elegant execution and beauty which is what we look for in our employee’s work.

Tasks:

  • Developing new features and maintaining existing codebase

  • Cooperate with Backend engineers to create necessary API or implement one yourself

  • Solve and fix occurring issues/bugs to make our portals users happy

  • Identify emerging complexity in the code and suggest rethinking of code design

  • Deliver the best user experience

We are looking for skills in:

  • JavaScript or Python

  • React, Redux, Webpack or Django, Flask

…with experience and understanding of:

  • Test-Driven-Development

  • Deploying and monitoring web applications

  • Understanding of async, multi-threading and multi-processing concepts

  • The fundamentals of networking and browsers

  • Writing clean, maintainable and safe code

What we offer:

  • Challenging work with great opportunities to learn and apply your skills

  • An opportunity to become part of industry groups and collaborate with the great minds at many of our varying partner organizations in the gaming industry

  • Freedom to do your work when and how you like, as long as it is done well

  • Excellent insurance coverage, with private health and dental care

  • Relaxed and flexible working environment at our awesome office space in Ruoholahti

  • International work with trips to conferences
