Exciting long term ongoing consulting opportunity for an experienced Oracle database developer to work on a high availability gift card system for one of the leading global technology firms.
Job Requirements
Background / Experience requirements: * 7-10+ years of applicable industry experience * Previous experience as a technical lead is highly desirable as this will be the first database engineer in the Austin office, who will help build/lead a team of 5+ engineers over the next year * Proven expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, implementing business logic, writing packages and stored procedures * Knowledge / experience with NO SQL development (Hadoop and/or MySQL is a plus) * Good conceptual knowledge of data replication, proven experience with Oracle Golden Gate or Streams is a big plus. * Experience with Agile development methodology is required. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills are critical, as this person will functionally serve in a lead capacity and need to communicate with various stakeholders regularly.
