A highly-specialized IT Senior Systems Engineer who will be responsible for designing and maintaining global game server infrastructure. This individual will demonstrate a deep understanding of Microsoft Windows environment, Systems Management, Cloud and Datacenter Server Environments and networking protocols. Accountabilities will include designing, configuring and maintaining infrastructure, application support while preserving the optimal performance of hardware and software.
Additionally, this person must be able to function effectively in a fast-paced environment where projects from conception to deployment may take only a few days!
Your Contribution

• Passion for innovating and creating new ways to use technology and help solve problems

• Lead development frameworks, policies, and procedures to effectively improve patching and build-time performance

• Launch new online services and features to market demands and player participation level

• Manage building, configuring, deployment, administration and maintenance of Windows

• Administer installation of service elements in data-center facilities

• Execute operational support by planning, prioritizing projects, providing vision and schedules for assigned software and hardware updates

• Perform in depth troubleshooting and maintenance - server hardware/OS deployment

• Carry out design, develop, and utilize automation scripts using Powershell with an in-depth understanding of batch, bash and/or apache ant

• Provide world-class service to internal and external customers

• Effectively manage and communicate status of critical projects

• Advanced problem-solving skills to include real-time operating system as well as network troubleshooting

• Participate to the on-call rotation schedule. Must possess a strong ability to document and produce drawings of environments

• Must be willing to travel to domestic and international data-center locations

• Strong organizational skills and be self-directed

Your Experience

• 5+ years experience in a Systems Engineer role supporting Windows Server infrastructure management, hands-on server and networking

• Knowledge of data center networking technologies including networking switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers

• Must have Microsoft Azure infrastructure management or equivalent AWS experience

• Extensive project management experience, from initiation and planning, to implementation and ongoing management, to completion

• Advance knowledge of Active Directory

• Working knowledge with trouble ticketing and workflow systems

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills that contribute to overall organizational performance and to a positive, creative work environment

• Experience managing global infrastructure in 24x7 co-located environments

• Experience developing custom object-oriented computer programs / applications

• Able to travel to domestic and international datacenter locations

• Promote best practice concepts, change management, SLAs, policies, procedures, and design review driven standards

• Proven results-oriented person with a delivery focus

• Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Plus

• Game Industry experience

• Certifications: Network+, CompTIA, MCSE/MCSA or equivalent experience
