Key responsibilities for the role are:
- Contributing in definition and implementation of IT infrastructure deployment automation in the cloud and on premise
- Close collaboration with product development team in addressing identified issues in software design, bottlenecks or/and manual configuration steps
- Contributing in definition and implementation of company-wide Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) processes and tools
- Contributing in defining future system architectures which will improve stability and operational efficiency of the systems
- Manage IT tools used for automation activities (CI/CD, configuration management, automation toolset, etc.)
- Manage orchestration infrastructure (Kubernetes)
- Educate and promote infrastructure automation practices within IT department
Qualifications & Skills
- Excellent communicator: can communicate effectively in English and adapt communication style to various stakeholder types (e.g. tech savvy, business savvy)
- Collaborator: able to bring various teams closer together (e.g. developers and IT)
- Experience in IT Operations of large-scale web based and micro services based applications
- Linux administration
- Experience with utilizing cloud infrastructure and platform services (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud, Azure)
- Experience in version control systems, preferably Git
- Experience in configuration management and infrastructure automation systems, preferably Ansible
- Experience in CI/CD platforms, preferably GitLab
- Experience with Kubernetes/Docker orchestration environment
- Self-learner who’ll seek and find knowledge needed for new concepts/solutions/technologies
- Ability to organize self and others including effective scheduling, prioritization and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
