Take Command Health is a start-up on a mission to help individuals and small business owners make better health insurance decisions. We have secured outside funding and are thrilled to be able to expand our team with our first full-time developer role reporting to our Director of Development.
Were looking for someone who:
- Has a mix of technical strength, business strength and good product ideas
- Focuses not only on what needs to be built but why something needs to be built
- Has experience with and works well on cross-functional teams (sales, client success, marketing, business development, design, etc.)
- Is excited about mentoring and managing junior developers as the team grows
- Is comfortable and proficient in both front-end and back-end development
With the following technical skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional experience in software development
- Product Development Methodologies: Lean startup, Agile
- Fundamental front end languages: HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- JavaScript frameworks: React (preferred / currently using), Angular
- Server side languages: Python/Django (preferred / currently using), Ruby, .NET, Java
- Database technologies: SQL, migrations, Object-relational mappers (ORMs)
