We are looking for an experienced Kafka and Java developer to be part of a new team building a real time event processing platform. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing and building complex messaging based systems from scratch that operate in a near fault-tolerant fashion.
Primary Responsibilities
The Kafka Developer will design and develop applications to support business requirements in line with approved life cycle methodologies and practices, while also resolving technical issues through debugging, research and investigation.
Key System Architecture RequirementsWill Involve

Key Daily Tasks Include
- Evaluating cost, effort, and duration for development tasks
- Debug and unit test software to minimize the cost of errors
- Follow approved software development life cycle and DevOps practices
- Prepare diagrams and documentation to articulate design approaches
- Develop and implement operating procedures for running and maintaining applications after deployment, and in so doing have these aspects inform application design
- Communicate effectively with product management and other stakeholders
- Conduct training and presentations for developers, business users, and other stakeholders as needed
MUST-HAVE Qualifications

- ars experience working heavily with messaging based applications utilizing Apache Kafka, sufficient to drive implementation design of Kafka in the following areas

- Build & Release Management integration patterns for fully automated DevOps
- Operations and Support Model
- Security Model
- Installation and configuration aspects necessary for inform precise configurations in production
- 1+ years of experience with Spring Boot Framework
- DevOps tools experience developing and integrating artifacts into GitLab, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus
- The ability to be self-motivated to identify undocumented needs, craft appropriate solutions to them, and work through roadblocks independently. THIS REQUIREMENT IS NON-NEGOTIABLE
