Your Role
The Global Security Consultant in the Global Practice should be a technology and solution advisor with pragmatic experience in the Security Intelligence / Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) domain. This position is a senior level technical consulting position leading all phases of Security Information Event Management (SIEM) design and implementation. This position leads the delivery of consulting engagements. This position will not only lead the delivery of consulting teams, but also support pre-sales activities, including request for proposal responses and pre-sales consulting. Mentoring and training of other SIEM Consultants will be required. While this position leads engagements focused on SIEM technologies, a broad knowledge of security technologies, processes and strategies is required. Knowledge of security incident management and security operations is also required.
Candidates can be located in any US City and must be willing to travel 75% as required, including international travel.

- Experience in the design and deployment of technology and solutions in Security Intelligence / SIEM
- An understanding across multiple security domains such as Identify and Access Management; Application and Data security; Infrastructure and Endpoint; as well as the inter-relationships between major components.
- Solid understanding and experience working a structured solution design methodology
- Help drive pursuits and engage in complex deals, matching outcomes to expectations
- Speak to the breadth of an entire security program landscape at an introductory level
- Provide subject matter expertise through delivery of workshops, as a member of consulting engagements, and as leader on solution design and deployment projects.
- Work with clients to define requirements and subsequently design solutions to meet client needs.
- Provide demonstration of IBM credentials in the Security Intelligence / SIEM domain.
- Help establish demonstrated client relationships in key accounts to help progress Security Intelligence / SIEM Services portfolio and cross-sell into other security competencies.
- Contribute content and advice to the offering development process.
- Help shape the emerging model of the SIOC practice.
- Drive the successful execution of solution design and proposal development to enable sales teams while managing IBM risk.
- The successful consultant will be an internal advisor to other IBM consultants and client teams. The consultant will assist in pre-sales, sales, closure, and then organize the delivery of security consulting services with local teams.

- At least 8 years of experience working in a professional services firm focused on systems integration projects
- Strong familiarity with a broad range of current and evolving Cyber Defense SIEM / SOC Use Cases
- Must be able to develop and deploy security Use Case requirements based on client business objectives
- Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions
- Experience working with Security practitioners
- Readiness to travel 75%, including international travel
