Description:
The Frontend Developer Role is based in downtown Austin, TX and is a fulltime position focused on building brand new UI elements and views. There is additional opportunity to work on APIs and ETL with NodeJS. The developer will work with a small, highly focused, and collaborative team to build tools and systems to enhance our core UI and provide
unique insights for customers and stakeholders. This role requires an advanced skill set across a variety of technologies. The individual will often have to learn independently and remain on the cusp of new technologies in the JavaScript space.
What You Must Do To Be Successful In This Position:
-Write highquality, performant, and reliable code
-Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and architecture design
-Rapidly architect, prototype, and build out new features
-Mentor Junior developers
-Have ideas and opinions on how we can work better as a team
-Be a selfstarter with the ability to work minimal oversight while still delivering high quality code in a timely manner
-Be extremely detail oriented
-Be collaborative & supportive team player What Skills & Experience We'd Like You To Have:
-7+ years of enterprise software development experience
-ReactJS + Redux (2+ years experience)
-Strong understanding of JavaScript (5+ years experience)
-Strong CSS skills and familiarity with preprocessors (e.g. SASS)
-Web standards, HTML5 and CSS3
-Webpack or other similar application bundling tools
-Knowledge of functional programming patterns (or OOP with a desire to move to FP)
-Testing, including unit, integration, performance, and load testing
-RESTful API design
-Relational databases (MySQL, Postgres)
- Building interactive UIs for quantitative information is a BIG plus
-NodeJS
-NoSQL Databases (Elasticsearch, Cassandra, etc.)
-Python web frameworks (Django, Flask, etc.)
-Docker
- AWS technologies (EC2, ECS, API Gateway, etc.)
- CI tools (Gitlab, Jenkins, Circle CI, etc.)
-BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent

Additonal Notes:
*This position is open to replace a senior level team member who is leaving the company.
*Our client merged with another client over one year ago, and both companies are merging the two main applications into one. They are reusing most all of the backend components, but the front-end will be all brand new. This being said this person will have the ability to have a large influence in the group and design and architect a new front-end for the new application.
