The HT Group has partnered with a medical and emergency technology firm in North Austin to hire a full time DevOps Engineer. Our client is currently running in a cloud-based CI/CD environment and seeks to add this position to drive their organization into a more scalable and automated DevOps environment.
The right person for this role will be a passionate DevOps evangelist, having knowledge in a wide range of available tools, processes and services. They will research available options, present them to leadership and development teams, provide training and guidance on adopted tools, services and processes, and support the company's product development teams with maintenance, troubleshooting and debugging of the tools and services related to DevOps.
Desired Skills:

No more than 2 years of experience required - passion, knowledge and drive valued over years of experience

- Strong working experience with CI/CD Tools (Jenkins preferred)
- Strong working experience with configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet etc.)
- Strong understanding of containerization/microservices and associated tools
- Strong knowledge of Windows Administration and MS Azure Cloud-based Services
- Working understanding of code and script (C# .NET & PowerShell preferred)
- Experience with SQL and relational databases (SQL Server preferred)
- Experience debugging cloud-based applications
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken
- An outstanding drive to learn and work with new technologies
- Experience working with Linux virtual machines
- Experience using Git
- Familiarity with systems like JIRA/Confluence/Salesforce
