OVERVIEW:
Sportradar, the global leader in understanding and leveraging the power of sports data and digital content is seeking a Data Engineer for its Media team in Minneapolis.
As the official data provider for the NFL, NBA, NFL, NASCAR, Sportradar has exclusive distribution rights to all in game data, this includes both live play-by-play stats and sensor data. Our team is focused on going beyond the raw data to drive insights and engaging experiences. Were building an innovative SAS platform to provide quick, accurate, and visually appealing answers to ANY sports data question. Youll get to work with the latest tools and technologies to build innovative data pipelines and warehouses for sports data.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about sports and has a great sense of ownership and pride in the products they build.
THE CHALLENGE:

Build large, real-time, data pipelines for major sports

Become an expert on the complex intricacies of sports data across different sports

Write high-quality, testable code in Javascript
-
Always be delivering in a collaborative development environment (PRs, CI/CD).

Build transparency around data pipelines

Ensure precise accuracy through tooling and instrumentation
-
Be accountable for your commits
-
Evangelize your ideas, features, and improvements
YOUR PROFILE:
-
3-5 years experience in data/software engineering
-
3 years experience working with relational data (SQL)
-
Data warehousing and modeling experience
-
Software development experience using Node.js (solid Javascript)
-
Understanding of application and system architectural patterns
-
Modern application development (microservices, testing, ci, cd)
-
Nice to have: serverless, lambda, step functions, aws operations
