Working with one of our largest clients, the Solution Architect is part of a team of highly motivated specialists with the skills and experience required to ensure that the implementation of products at customers happen as smoothly as possible.


In the banking and Fin-Tech world, things are moving quickly.  These are exciting projects at top-tier banks that are implementing online banking solutions. Helping customers implement new innovations and getting user friendly results.  Focused on mobile apps, web-based environments these solutions tie directly to the banks main revenue streams.  Our customer is setting and continuously raising the bar for banking solutions worldwide.


As a Solutions Architect, it’s your job to ascertain that solutions become reality. This is a client-facing role, you are comfortable in deep-dive technical workshops and in board-level sales presentations. You have experience designing web-based architectures, finding the scope in large-scale, complex projects.


As part of the development team, you will fill a leading role taking highly specific technical details as well as discussing general business outcomes. You have experience translating customer requirements into a design, without discounting security, deployment, performance, caching, sizing, scalability and serviceability.


Another aspect of the role is creating technical architecture documentation; working with the QA lead to define the test strategy; leading DevOps to define and implement CI/CD pipelines and ensuring that implementations meet non-functional requirements.


Your skills:



  • Excellent knowledge of the Java platform

  • Experience with Apache Camel

  • Experienced in Spring, Maven and Jenkins

  • Demonstrable understanding of Service Oriented Architectures (SOA), as well as Micro-Services Architecture

  • JavaScript frameworks, MVC patterns and principles of REST APIs, preferably including RAML and/or OpenAPI

  • Strong knowledge of architectural frameworks

  • Experience with Enterprise Integration Patterns and Frameworks

  • Operational knowledge of application servers, databases, load balancers and other infrastructure components required to deploy web applications in a highly available and scalable environment

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills


Experience/Knowledge:



  • Authentication/Authorization protocols - Oauth/OpenID/SAML

  • Security at REST and Security in Transit for a typical web application

  • Web security protocols such as CORS, CSRF, etc.

  • SQL Injection and Script Injection attacks prevention


Additional experience – not required but nice to have knowledge of:



  • Have created solutions for financial services/banking

  • Have experience with Portal/Web Content Management

  • Are familiar with architectural patterns, such as Microservices, CQRS, event sourcing.

  • Have experience with server virtualization and containers technology such as Docker, VMWare, HyperV.

  • Have professionally used Integration Platforms, API Gateway, etc.
