The Senior Software Developer will work with a diverse and innovative technology team to create solutions to some of the most salient health related issues presently known. The successful candidate will contribute to all phases of the software development life cycle in a fast paced collaborative environment. Quadrant Biosciences seeks to continually adopt best practices with the highest integrity possible. Since much of the data that is generated is protected health information, compliance with safety and security standards is imperative.
Work Environment
Applicants local to Syracuse, New York would have the opportunity to work within our corporate headquarters located inside the SUNY Upstate Medical campus. Remote applicants with prior experience will also be eligible for this position.
Required Qualifications
- BS, Computer Science, Information Science or demonstrated equivalence in work
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Skills
- Javascript
- Python
- OO design and pattern
- HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Sass/Less
- MVC Paradigm MySQL and/or PostgreSQL
- Testing: Unit, Regression, Integration, Load, User
- Familiarity with GIT and version control workflows
- Knowledge of software security best practices
- Great interpersonal skills and highly motivated
- Excellent communicator
Preferred Qualifications
- Javascript Framework (such as Angular, Meteor, or React)
- Java (Spring, Android frameworks)
- Demonstrable experience in continuous deployment cloud infrastructure on AWS
- Familiarity with Jenkins or Bamboo
- Experience with NoSql databases
- Linux Administration experience
- Client side automation (such as Gulp/Grunt, Less, Typescript, NPM, etc..,)
- Experience with search engine platforms such as Solr or Elastic Search
- Statistical Analysis
- Data visualization frameworks (such as D3 or Highcharts)
- Experience with HIPAA compliant systems/policies
