T-Mobile Home and Entertainment is seeking a results-oriented Sr Software Development Engineer in Test to work with our UI, Back Office, and Back End teams. This role will help us create and maintain an automated testing framework and test scripts to be run nightly as part of our continuing effort towards CI/CD.
As part of our Feature teams this role will work closely with other Engineers, Architects, and DevOps engineers to help us deliver quality software in a reliable and predictable manner. Will also need to act as a mentor and champion for testing strategies and execution.
Must Have Skills:
Must-Haves:
- Good understanding of QA practices: black box, white box testing; risk based testing, regression and exploratory testing.
- Strong development experience in JavaScript or Java (for either front-end or back-end test automation)
- Experience with the MEAN stack technologies
- Good understanding of code versioning and build/deploy tools, e.g. git, npm, Jenkins
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) in order to communicate technically with fellow engineers, architects and other members of the QA group.
General Requirements:
- Graduate degree or higher in CS, Computer Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience with web technologies and/or working on backend development
- 3+ years of following an Agile process
- 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining automated test suites
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience using Selenium for web-based automation testing
- Experience with either Jira or Rally software
- Experience working with remote teammates
