Looking for a highly energetic and versatile individual to help design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor Hobby Lobby’s dynamic, ever-evolving web and applications infrastructure.
Primary Functions/Job Description
- Design, write, and deliver software and systems to
- Manage applications and application infrastructure
- Build, test, and release code
- Monitor applications and services
- Plan and manage application system capacity
- Configure, monitor, and support cloud-based infrastructure and services including Amazon AWS and Windows Azure environments
- Provide input on and execute security and deployment best practices
- Manage application deployments
- Facilitate collaboration between development and operations teams throughout the application lifecycle
- Collaborate with Information Security team to address audit compliance while enabling a secure application environment
- Coordinate web and application infrastructure configuration and management with Network Infrastructure and Systems Administration teams
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on software development experience in an enterprise environment with one or more of the following programming languages: C#, Java, PHP, JavaScript
- Experience with debugging and troubleshooting REST and other HTTP services
- Experience administering web and application servers (Tomcat, Jetty, Apache, nginx, IIS)
- Experience with scripting languages (PowerShell, shell, Python)
- Practical understanding of Application Performance Management (APM)
- Practical knowledge of git best practices
- Experience with DevOps principles and practices
- Experience with Windows and Linux systems administration
Preferred Skills
- Experience with containers and container management (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher)
- Experience with release engineering, version management, and packaging
- Experience with configuration management tools
- Experience deploying and managing applications in a cloud-environment
- Experience with unit and automated testing tools
- Experience with collaboration tools (SharePoint, Confluence)
