And, wouldn't you know it: Windward Software currently has an outstanding opportunity available for a Software Developer to join our Development team, based out of our sunny Penticton, BC headquarters.
In this role, the selected individual will be part of a development team responsible for maintaining our existing desktop business application as well creating new desktop, mobile, and web applications for a variety of businesses. Experience in an agile development environment and working closely with stakeholders is necessary.
We're looking for a person with a strong work ethic and “get it done” attitude. And empathy for software application users and valuing their feedback are key parts of our success criteria in this role.
All facets of software development are important parts of this position: although we employ experts in technical documentation, testing, and business requirements; we believe those responsibilities are also ultimately every developer’s responsibility.
Ideally, we'd love it if you possessed the following:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
- Minimum 5-7 years of developer experience
- Programming expertise in C#
- Experience with relational databases using SQL Server, PostGres
- Experience in HTML, ASP.NET and Web API technologies
- Interest or experience with cloud technologies: Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Microsoft Azure
- Analytical skills, logical reasoning, excellent problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well as a part of a team; advanced communication skills
- Customer service skills
- A passion for learning
The Applicant must have an unrestricted ability to work in Canada; and note that this position is full-time and based in our Penticton, BC office.
