We are seeking to find a lead engineer to join our product team! In this role, you will be responsible for building new features, leading a team of engineers, setting standards, developing team members, and contributing to the hiring process.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product management and senior leadership to implement features and develop the roadmap
- Mentor, pair, and delegate to encourage growth of others
- Organize work for team and contributing daily to the codebase
- Lead by example with a focus on craftsmanship and quality
- Participate in recruiting new team members
Qualifications
- 6+ years of software development experience
- Curious by nature, always sharing ways of expanding knowledge
- Prior startup experience or have faced large scaling challenges
- Experience with agile processes and software practices
- Proficiency with AWS or other cloud hosting environments
- Knowledge of Ruby, Rails, Sidekiq, ActionCable, SQL, JavaScript, React, Redux, or Unix scripting
- Familiarity with Slack RTM API or web socket based architectures
- Strong understanding of software testing and verification
- Willing to learn new languages
Electric is not currently offering immigration sponsorship at this time. Relocation to New York is available for the right candidate.
