Job Summary:
Core Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership within the team responsible for developing the user interface (UI) for a commercial, business-to-business (B2B) content management portal for providers and affiliates delivering video content via Comcast’s network; utilize Angular and JavaScript to develop UI based on user experience (UX) design philosophies and integrate with backend workflows for clients to access, modify and measure the performance their video content via the B2B portal; serve as a team lead for the UI development team using Node.js, Redis, and Agile methodologies; utilize Protractor to inspect and create automated tests to validate UIs, test end-to-end UI functionality, and reduce future manual testing; utilize Balsamic to design UX for the portal’s UI; interface with clients to create wireframe mock-ups and designs for UIs according to business needs; utilize wireframes to discuss UI designs with business users and derive the final technical requirements for the UI development; develop new Video on Demand (VOD) features and operations for a VOD platform used to deliver video content to the national Comcast footprint as well as non-Comcast systems that receive the company’s VOD content; review VOD products and guide product development efforts based on project roadmaps; collaborate with software development leads working on backend and database development to develop products, troubleshoot design issues, and provide technical solutions as needed; perform peer reviews of UI developers’ software code; perform unit testing of developed UI software; and mentor junior-level UI developers.
Job Specification:
Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, and five (5) years of experience developing UIs using Angular and JavaScript; of which three (3) years must include software development experience creating UX-based designs; developing software using Node.js, Redis, and Agile methodologies; utilizing Protractor to automate testing; and utilizing Balsamic to design UXs for UIs.
