About You:
Plan, design, develop, and implement software and databases. Monitor the performance, scalability, security of our databases, and resolve any issues. Evaluate existing database design to determine necessary updates and integration requirements of new design, and to ensure final solutions meet organizational needs. Requires comprehensive knowledge of database technologies, along with solid coding and computer system skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, construct and debug new and existing features
- Understanding of OOP and industry-standard design patterns, including MVC.
- Design, architect and implement an Oracle Database, for transactional web enterprise systems
- Document the database architecture in order to support internal integrations for digital interfaces and business analytics
- Support the healthy growth of our team by being a leader and providing mentorship to new team members
- Write clean, DRY and modular PL/SQL code, providing proper documentation when necessary
- Extend the tools and capabilities of the team to support the ability to perform rapid prototyping
Qualifications
- Object-Oriented Design and Programming
- Programming in one or more of Oracle, PL/SQL.
- Database schema design, indexing, and scalability.
- Experience working with different types of databases. (Oracle, SQL & NoSQL)
- Experience with scalable, high-performance transactional systems.
- Establish best practices in OOP & Design, architecture, CI/CD.
- Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline, or equivalent experience.
