Job Description:

Sr Analyst, Technical

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a technical and functional advisor on the TRIRIGA Lease Accounting engine to our business and managed service partners.
  • Understand pain points of our business partners and work to translate business requirements into functional requirements.
  • Recommend technical and functional designs that can fulfill gaps in capabilities and or resolve defects affecting system outcomes
  • Coordinate with the development team on the creation of the design and help ensure clear documentation of the technical specification materials.
  • Perform analysis on the data load processing and journal entry output of the TRIRIGA Lease Accounting Engine. Document and communicate findings to IT leadership and the business partners.
  • Use database technologies to perform extended analysis on big data sets and summarize output with recommendations on next steps
  • Create technical and functional test scripts with ASC 842 / IFRS 16 lease accounting technical accounting expected outcomes. Work with our managed services partner to organize test data and then own responsibility of executing testing and comparing results against expected outcomes
  • Support the development of automated testing in order to build a regression test suite that can be leveraged during our continuous evolution of the product
  • Work with the IBM TRIRIGA product team on resolution of items that require Software vendor support. Assist in reviewing the current software deficiency, log a ticket, work with multiple IBM support teams, and assist in the testing of any product fixes
  • Proactively develop analysis and reconciliations to support controls and validations of regular processing using knowledge of upstream data and knowledge of the TRIRIGA Lease Accounting engine


Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of technical or functional analysis experience
  • Understanding of ASC 842 and IFRS 16 lease accounting standards
  • Experience working with TRIRIGA Lease Accounting engine in a technical or functional capacity
  • Experience implementing test automation technologies to support Finance technology testing
  • Experience writing functional requirements, developing user stories, and planning sprints.
  • Understanding and experience working on Accounting systems or in an Accounting business capacity.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with business teams and articulate complex concepts
  • Proven capability designing features or solutions for Finance systems.
  • Experience identifying and predicting risks and issues to business-critical systems and processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, information systems or computer science. Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Accounting a plus.
