Our client is looking for a local or remote Magento Lead engineer that is hands-on "in the code who will also take ownership for architectural design of technical solutions in the e-commerce stack. The candidate must have deep experience in Magento 2. The candidate will also need experience managing off-shore engineering teams, across multiple time-zones. Our client has a customized Magento based ecommerce site and in this role the Lead Engineer/Team Lead will set the direction of the product, build up a local team and grow into a larger leadership role within the company.
Required Skills
· 7+ years of e-commerce development experience with large B2C e-commerce platforms, specifically with Magento 2
· Development experience with front end technologies, REST API's, Perl, PHP and DevOps procedures
· Technical lead experience and ability to perform day-to-day management of local and offshore resources in order to deliver on schedule
· Experience working closely with product and UX to develop solutions for our customers
· Experience improving code quality through test-driven development and code reviews
· Experience mentoring, motivating and growing a development team
· Ability to split time between coding and leading teams
