Senior IT Application Support at PGi (Atlanta, GA)

The Sr. IT Application Support Administrator provides advanced technical support and user guidance for a suite of Corporate IT Systems. They diagnose and fix application issues in a timely manner, while clearly communicating progress to stakeholders. They also participate in the application SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and change management activities.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily/weekly/monthly monitoring of system processes using SQL and data analysis
• Prioritize, troubleshoot/investigate root cause, and escalate issue tickets - directly support end user system issues
• Ensure support coverage of business-critical issues during agreed upon service hours, up to and including off-hours and on-call responsibility which must be responded to immediately
• Provide hands on report development and troubleshooting, including documentation of issues and resolution
• Serve as a system subject-matter-expert to other team members and business end-users to increase application support knowledge base
• Advise and participate with development teams to provide both technical and business process guidance, test changes, and implement upgrades and/or system configuration updates

Education and Experience:

Minimum-

• Extensive data analysis and SQL experience needed. Preferably in SQL Server or TSQL
• Associate degree in the field of Business or Information Systems (or 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree)
• 7 years of progressive work experience administering, supporting, and configuring systems

Preferred -

• Associate degree in the field of Business or Information Systems
• Ability to read XML, XSLT, JSON, JavaScript, CSS, and SQL
• Application support and troubleshooting experience

Skills and Abilities:

• Problem solving skills
• SQL proficiency; Other scripting or programming languages
• Ability to work within Unix and Windows operating systems
