The Systems Administrator is responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of all computer systems and assets. This will include servers, workstations, networking devices and backup/disaster recovery solutions. This position will assist in managing the organizations network in collaboration with the IT Security Analyst. This position will provide a high level of customer service and ensure all IT systems and equipment issues are resolved in a timely manner. This position will report to the Director, Information Technology.
Responsibilities:
Planning, Installation, Configuring, Scripting, Deploying, Patching, Interfacing and Tuning Windows-based systems and software
Maintain systems inventory for all technology resources
Maintain the network infrastructure including switches, firewalls and wireless access points
Manage group policies and active directory;
Install virus protection, and enable automatic updates using established methods;
Provide technical assistance to Technology Support to resolve issues in a timely matter
Assist users in troubleshooting and resolving problems with hardware, software, office and communications equipment, network and remote connectivity as needed
Create and maintain appropriate network and systems documentation
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive matters and materials
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or similar; equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of degree
At least three (3) years of system administration experience required
Experience in managing Office 365
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 and Hyper-V
Experience with Windows 7/10 operating systems
Experience managing Windows Domain Controllers and Active Directory
Experience implementing Group Policy
Experience with VoIP technologies
Basic Network Troubleshooting Skills with LAN, WAN and Internet Connectivity
Systems Administration/System Engineer certification in Microsoft preferred
Meraki networking and Microsoft Azure infrastructure a plus
Available to work evenings and weekends when needed
