The Big Data Solution Architect is responsible for Architecting, Positioning, Designing, Developing and Deploying enterprise big data platforms (e.g. HDFS, NOSQL, Cloud) to reliably ingest, persist, curate and provision all manner of structured and unstructured data from a wide spectrum of source systems for the benefit of data consumers e.g. Analytical Applications, Data Scientists, Operation & Back Office Technology. Relevant Data Science experience should be in : Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, Cloudera, Hortonworks, MapR or Talend. Candidates will of worked in big data architecture or cloud architecture.
The ideal candidate will have
- 4 to 15 years of relevant consulting or industry experience
- At least 3 years of experience managing large technology engagements
- At least 4 years in providing advisory and implementation expertise to clients including use case and business case development for disruptor based analytics including
- Analytics Strategy
- AI solutions
- Cognitive Computing
- Machine Learning
- Big Data Technologies
- Cloud Computing solutions
- Analytical Modeling & Visualization
- Natural Language Processing,
- Some experience designing and implementing proof of concept execution to prove the value of Cognitive Computing using cases, solution outline and design of Disruptive Analytics solutions
- Bachelor's Degree in a numerate, computer science or engineering subject from a tier 1 university. PhD or Master Degree is also desirable, but not essential.
- Ability to travel to client sites in The US - typically 4 days on client site and possible 3 nights away from home (unless the client site happens to be in commuting distance to where you live)
