Harbinger Partners is seeking a Data Scientist for a full time role with our premier client in St. Louis Park, MN


Position summary:


We are looking for an exceptional person who is passionate about data science, predictive analytics, and machine learning technologies. The team of data scientists and analytics engineers will develop predictive models, build analytics tools, design and analyze experiments, and provide key analytics insights to enable the optimization of business operations and drive the client's product effectiveness. You will play a critical role by engaging and partnering with key leaders to implement data-driven decision making processes in both business functions and technology services, on the pathway to the client's broader artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities.


Increasing the analytical sophistication and intelligence built into our platform and products is absolutely vital to our long-term profitability and success. As such, we need a leader to drive analytics, data driven insights, and artificial intelligence/machine learning into our DNA, platform, and products. This role reports to our VP of Technology Services and Analytics.


Summary:

Partner with Technology, Product, Client Success, and Operations teams to develop new Predictive Modeling services leveraging machine learning and other technologies

Build, lead, and develop a motivated Data Science and Analytics team by promoting top talent in analytics and at the intersection of analytics, technology, and business

Within our cross functional agile development teams, you will own analysis, design, development, and deployment of predictive analytics services

Research, prototype, and select appropriate machine learning/AI methods and computational algorithms

Codify and share knowledge created within the analytics organization to further enhance the client's enterprise capabilities

You are willing to leave your ego at the door and are open to learning from those around you, but you are also comfortable vigorously debating the right approach to solving problems

Ability to develop new skills and evolve within an entrepreneurial organization

Required Skills

Bachelors degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Machine Learning, AI, or Computer Science. Masters degree preferred

7 or more years experience in the selection, development, and operations of predictive analytics models

7 or more years experience developing services using TensorFlow, Apache MXNet, Chainer, PyTorch, or AWS Sage Maker

Experience with health care data and health care analytics preferred

Exceptional SQL skills and ability use Java, Python and other programming and scripting languages to import, export, and manage data (ETL)

Exceptional written and verbal communicator who can understand how to communicate effectively in various forums including technical planning, decision making, execution, and executive level updates

Experience with Agile development teams and SaaS delivery models

You have a solid understanding of service architecture design and are comfortable clarifying and debating design choices and the associated impacts

Ability and propensity to assist in analyzing complex systems in order to improve performance and continuously evolve systems
