Senior Cloud Security Engineer

Austin, Texas (Open to remote work)

This Cloud Security Engineer will be a member of our Global Information Security Organization and involved in building, maintaining and supporting public cloud security initiatives. This person will be required to work effectively and seamlessly with Forcepoints existing security, R&D and cloud operations teams. Our corporate office is located in Austin Texas and are open to remote work.

What will this Cloud Security Engineer be doing?

• Work closely with cloud operations & R&D teams to build AWS public cloud security controls based upon policies and standards
• Assess and understand the current AWS cloud & Forcepoint product security posture; provide recommendations for vulnerability remediation and risk reduction
• Design and implement cloud native application & platform security controls
• Integrate cloud security solutions with the security operations center (SOC)
• Design pipeline capabilities in support of DevSecOps processes
• Perform regular threat models and risk assessments to characterize the risk and severity posture of cloud environments
• Communicate security risks and support incident response/remediation activities
• Document & communicate existing and new cloud security standards

Education and Experience we will be looking for on your resume: 

• 3-5 years of experience in information security, preferably in a medium to large software product company
• A bachelors degree or higher in a technical field such as computer science or equivalent experience
• At least one professional security certifications (CISSP, CEH, GCIH, GCFA)
• Strong experience with AWS native security capabilities (GuardDuty, CloudTrail etc.)
• Both network & host IDS/IPS systems such as security onion/snort/bro, ossec, osquery etc.
• Implementing & maintaining logging, monitoring & security analytics solutions such as Elastic Stack, Splunk etc.
• Implementing & maintaining an enterprise vulnerability management system (Tenable, Qualys etc.)
• Scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Perl, Go etc.
• Building and supporting a DevSecOps environment using tools like Jenkins, Chef, Puppet etc.
