The Solution Architect (SA) role is a client and solutions focused technical role, which will require the SA to take full technical ownership of projects across a number of different clients. The SA will be the technical point of contact for the clients and projects they have responsibility for.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication and presentation skills. They will be required to work closely with the account management team, architecting and presenting technical solutions in new business pitches. They will also be comfortable actively participating in workshops to understand client business needs and suggest optimal technical solutions or platforms to meet their requirements and budget.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for owning technical costings based on project requirements and working with lead developers to ensure project requirements are delivered. They will ensure risks and assumptions are identified, documented and communicated clearly to the client.
Essential skills and experience:
• Solid 5-7 years’ experience developing & architecting .NET enterprise, CMS driven and public facing web application solutions
• Solid understanding of .NET Framework (3.5/4.0/4.5)
• Highly proficient in C#, ASP.Net MVC, WebAPI and MS SQL Server
• Great understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, LESS and HTML frameworks such as Bootstrap.
• Knowledge of JavaScript development using libraries such as AngularJS, Vue and JQuery.
• Solid knowledge of industry best practices and experience on SDLC, software design patterns, Gitflow, peer-review, development methodologies such as Agile / Scrum and iterative-waterfall, coding / accessibility standards, effective documentation and producing maintainable code
• Excellent experience and skills in architecting enterprise level applications, using SOLID principles, separation of concerns and domain driven design.
• Solid experience in continuous Integration and automated deployment, using build scripts, preferable using Bamboo, MSBuild & MSDeploy
• Great communication and leadership skills, strong team player with a friendly and professional attitude
• Solid client facing experience with the ability to communicate and present complex solutions and issues clearly and concisely to a client
• Solid experience designing a wide range of solutions and leading a team of developers during implementation
• Solid knowledge of SEO best practices and web application security vulnerabilities
• Outside-the-box thinker, self-managed, and self-directed with a passion for technology
• Ability to remain calm and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, ideally with a digital agency
• Permission to work permanently in Australia
Desirable skills and experience:
• Holding a relevant IT degree / qualification
• Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, PHP MVC frameworks or Drupal
• Experience architecting healthcare solutions
• Experience developing .NET CMS applications using EPiServer or Sitecore
• Experience with Atlassian tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, Bamboo and Bitbucket
