Job Description:

The Manager, Product Management and Software Development owns the technical product roadmap and capabilities for complex cross platform in Digital Supply Chain Retail space managing delivery of solutions for Real Time Inventory Management Systems in all T-Mobile Retail Stores.
  • Partners with business, internal/external stakeholders and Leadership to understand current customer experiences, identifies areas of opportunity, create and manage product vision and roadmap.
  • Leads and manage product backlog and priorities with our business and technology partners.
  • Leads product backlog grooming sessions partnering with key resources.
  • Manages the "big picture" of challenges impacting the customer experience, including the technical, functional, process, and policy considerations, and creatively defines and implements solutions to those challenges.
  • Works with business to identify and articulate initiative scope, benefits and ROI.
  • Collaborates with stakeholders to plan and manage product releases.
  • Develops and communicates a point of view on complex technical topics.
  • Align multiple domains, both technical and nontechnical, on this common vision.
  • Serves as the driving force behind the delivery of multiple, concurrent projects and products that leverage and extend our technical platform.
  • Draws upon deep technical knowledge, years of experience in the delivery of software development or configuration, proven leadership skills and ability to forge strong working relationships that cross organizational lines to aid us in our transition toward a more robust, scalable, lean and nimble software development organization with an API first, Digital Architecture. 


  • Responsibilities:

  • Develops, and manages a team of developers, who will establish and help in building & maintaining a real-time serialized inventory management solutions used by retail operations (both front office and back office).
  • Ability to rapidly deliver world class software solutions to T-Mobile business customers primarily focused on retail supply chain needs (ability to perform day to day in store and back office operations like physical inventory counts, transfers, receives, sales and returns of inventory from distribution center to stores, store to store etc.) but also expanding into marketing, finance, sales and other areas with similar operational reporting needs.


  • Qualifications:

    Relationship and People Management
  • 1-3 in a Supervisory role
  • Manages technical relationships with assigned vendors, including driving features and function requests for inclusion in future product releases.
  • Effectively manages team to achieve results by providing appropriate direction, timely developmental feedback and coaching, and conducting performance reviews and conversations.
  • Interviews and hires qualified team members, striving to improve T-Mobile bench strength and augmenting product or project teams with contract staff when required.
  • Supports team in creating training and career development plans and ensures assignments with increasing levels of responsibility are given to staff.
  • Provides coaching and direction to the team that drives action and enables achievement of performance and operational goals.

  • Technology and Systems
  • 5+ years of experience in designing and implementing APIs using an API First approach in addition to expertise in API related technologies
  • 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and deploying cloud native applications
  • Engage with API Developers as they architect, develop, and deploy API to meet the constantly growing needs of their business
  • Knowledge in AWS/GCP/Azure cloud services.
  • Relevant experience with API Security is highly preferred.
  • Microservices Architecture knowledge
  • Experience with No SQL DB / other database technologies
  • Experience with latest digital programming and architectural knowledge
  • Experience with integration of digital layer with legacy systems
  • Mobile app development knowledge (native i-os apps)
  • Experience with implementing detective and preventative controls
  • Strong design and development experience including software development and product management skill

  • Product & Project Management
  • 5-7+ years of relevant Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and System Analyst experience in an agile software product development environment with a focus on one or more of the following functional areas: merchandise planning, demand forecasting, fulfillment planning, return & repair planning
  • Monitors and measures work tasks to ensure deliverables are provided on time and within budget.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Agile methodology and product delivery using agile principles relevant Product Management, Product Owner, Business Analyst, and System Analyst experience in an agile software product development environment.
  • Proven success in directing matrixed resources and delivering software, with Agile Scrum methodologies, across multiple teams.
  • Strong requirements elicitation, and proven writing skills including the ability to write concisely and clearly for different audiences.
  • Experience with Agile backlog/project management tools.
  • Ability to connect the company vision to your product and show impact through relevant KPI/Metrics.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL methodology


  • Minimum Qualifications:

    Education:

    Bachelor's Degree preferred
      Scrum Product Owner certification (CSPO) preferred
