Software Development Engineer at Amazon (Seattle, WA)

We're looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) passionate about large scale enterprise management of AWS resources.

Amazon Web Services has made it incredibly easy for customers to create resources in the cloud, including EC2 instances, RDS databases, S3 files, etc. At same time, IT administrators are asking for tools to help them manage the lifecycle for all these resources in their environment. They want to know the configuration of a resource, and ensure that it adheres to all the required IT policies. This needs to be done at scale, across potentially hundreds of accounts, and multiple AWS regions for 100Ks of resources. It is a big data challenge, with the future of enterprise cloud administration at stake.

AWS Config is working on a new project to help our enterprise customers administer their resources at scale. We are looking to help IT administrators govern and manage their resources. Our customers need data to help audit their environments for compliance against a range of requirements, including standards like the CIS benchmark, HIPAA, PCI, and internal IT policies like cost reduction initiatives.

Every month, we process hundreds of millions of AWS resource configuration changes, and help to check these settings for compliance. AWS Config is a critical part of the management tools space, and we are growing rapidly. We are tackling some of the biggest challenges in the IT administrative space, and our customers are some of the biggest names in banking, insurance, healthcare and other industries around the world.

If you're excited about working with big data, with challenging technical problems and a chance to make a huge impact as a full stack SDE, then this is the job for you! This is a new and exciting space in AWS, and we are looking for the best SDEs to join us to deliver world class solutions for our customers.
