Function Description :
- This exciting position is in the Enterprise Digital and Analytics (EDA) team in Gurgaon. While we are making evolutionary enhancements in our marketing process by leveraging machine learning algorithms, we are looking for a candidate that can push the modeling capabilities in the realm of big data.
- Enterprise Customer Engagement Platforms is a critical pillar to the success of American Express - increasing the depth of relationship with our current customers through relevant and rich offers/ benefits is a source of organic growth that contributes to American Express- leading position in the marketplace.
Purpose of the Role :
- The person will be responsible for delivering on the vision and road map for Enterprise Intelligence Platform by working closely with the EDA, Global Commercial Data Science, Risk and AET partners to drive platform adoption and use-cases.
- Individual must be able to effectively manage people, cross-functional partners and stakeholders to create world-class product and help drive revenue with implementation of real time customer marketing use cases.
Responsibilities :
1) Playing a strategic role in providing inputs to the product roadmap in partnership with stakeholders across modeling teams with an objective of creating a Global Scoring Platform to enable better & faster customer marketing in big data ecosystem.
2) Leading a group of professionals responsible for enabling Real Time customer marketing, risk and service use cases for the enterprise with a focus to on board all machine learning models and triggers
3) Partnering with technologies team for implementing the roadmap efficiently and operate in a balanced way between big picture and transactional levels at the same time.
4) Collaborating with modeling teams across geographies to identify opportunities to enhance & build big data capabilities for enabling new business strategies and fully leveraging our closed loop.
5) Drive a high performance culture through strong leadership and effectively inspiring, motivating, and influencing teams and individuals. Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to work with all levels.
6) Demonstrate a higher degree of independence with project management and is able to propose innovative ideas and solutions to complex problems. Independently develops solutions aligned to strategy.
Critical Factors to Success :
- Good Exposure to Machine learning Algorithm, Python & Hive
- Great Communication and partner expectation management
- Strong knowledge of Big data enterprise architecture & integration with good exposure of data mining/analytical tools
Qualifications :
Past Experience :
- 5-6 years- experience in working on Big data capabilities & good exposure to machine learning. Team managing experience will be a plus
- Good knowledge of external analytical solutions and machine learning algorithms with an acumen to design capabilities architectures and platforms will be a plus
Academic Background : An advanced degree in IT or Computer Science. (MCA/ M-Tech / B-Tech)
Functional Skills/Capabilities :
- Good Knowledge on machine learning algorithms
- Ability to translate business needs into innovative technical and process solutions, with a proven ability to deliver global platforms that deliver a sustained competitive advantage
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills and a tremendous will to win with the ability to work across cross-functional teams (Analytics, technologies, risk, operations etc.)
Technical Skills/Capabilities : Hands on experience and knowledge of big data tools will be a plus(Python, Map-reduce, Hive etc)
Knowledge of Platforms : Experience of Amex data, processes & systems is a plus
Schedule (Full-Time/Part-Time) : Full-time
