Technical Support Analyst - VB/SQL at Modis (Houston, TX)

A Sr. Technical Support Analyst job in teh Greater Houston area is available courtesy of Modis. In this role, the individual will be responsible for working with end users to provide development and support to non-SAP applications of the manufacturing processes in chemicals, refining, lubricants & and other related businesses within the oil and gas industry. This is a long-term, stable role that offers a very attractive compensation package commensurate with level of individual expertise.

Sr. Technical Support Analyst job responsibilities include:

• Providing development and support services to non SAP applications in support of oil and gas manufacturing processes.
• Working with team to provide 24x7 support that includes global monitoring and handover with West team.        
• Participate in a wide variety of controls activities and projects and provide training to the user communities.      

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Information Technology or equivalent is required.        
• Proficiency of Windows, UNIX, Oracle Database and coding in PL/SQL and VBA, VB.NET, and VB6.        
• Team player with strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Able to communicate in English.
• Any prior experience with Wonderware Intelatrac, Honeywell Uniformance, or ThermoFisher SampleManager applications is preferential.
• Requires expertise of PowerShell, SQL, SQL Server, and VBA scripting while assisting with packaging software.
