Director, Product Management

A leading provider of predictive analytics software and services is expanding rapidly and looking for a rising star to join our management team, based in Philadelphia, as Director of Product Management. Full details below.

Responsibilities include:

  • Own the end to end product lifecycle for a cutting edge Predictive Analytics platform in the Marketing space, differentiated by its advanced algorithms driven by Data Science and continuously improved via Machine Learning.
  • Hands-on leader who will personally architect our product roadmap, working cross-functionally with Sales, Operations and our Development organization to define, develop and implement an industry leading predictive analytics platform that sets the standard for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Transform executive product vision and strategy into the tactical roadmap items needed for development team deilvery
  • Create and prioritize a backlog of ideas for horizontal and vertical growth
  • Develop and validate the market adoption, revenue and profitability potential of the ideas
  • Refine market requirements for concepts with potential and drive cross-functional teams to develop, test and launch new ideas including new features in existing products and applications
  • Manage lifecycle strategies associated with your product portfolio
  • Identify and measure key performance metrics and drive the vision set forth by executive management
  • Develop and implement go-to market strategies that will ensure forecasted product revenues and margins are achieved
  • Develop sales and marketing collateral in conjunction with the marketing team to enable sales
  • Research and respond to industry trends, competitive offerings and potential disruptors within Predictive analytics
  • Experience working with global sales and delivery teams as well as near shore (European) development teams
  • Ability to lead cross functional teams to bring rapid innovation to the marketplace. Willingness to fail fast.
  • Achieve product revenue and contribution margin targets set forth in the business case
  • Develop compelling sales and marketing collateral in conjunction with the marketing team
  • Track financial performance of the product portfolio and market share and develop strategies and tactics to continuously improve. Present updates to the senior executive team including CEO.

  • Demonstrated experience in creating a product strategy, seeking approval from executive management and delivering on the strategy from concept to market acceptance
  • Experiencing working with Big Data platforms leveraging Data Sciences and Machine Learning
  • Ability to create business cases for products and product categories
  • Ability to create forecasts, financial models and budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to drive the product lifecycle from ideation to launch and post-launch evaluation (through Introduction stage)
  • Strong grasp of design and user experience
  • Outstanding documentation and project management skills
  • Outstanding analytical skills
  • Ability to marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize your own work while meeting the needs of your customers
  • Ability to translate technical concepts into understandable customer-friendly language

  • MBA and/or management consulting experience a plus
  • Successfully launched multiple products or services from inception, including developing the concept, research and market validation, business justification and value proposition, pricing and develop and implement go to market strategy.
  • Experience managing budgets and P&L for a product portfolio
