RSM US has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Software Engineer in Cloud development. We are quickly growing our enterprise cloud practice based in Microsoft Azure technologies. Mission critical application development is being targeted for cloud deployment. Our team needs a capable and motivated Sr. Software Engineer to bring strong developer skills and to be prepared to grow them significantly in the coming years.
The Software Engineer Senior is a medium level to advanced level software developer. They can resolve moderate to difficult problems, lead the resolution of those problems, while demonstrating expertise in a variety of technical concepts, practices, and procedures. The Software Engineer Senior is able to work independently while making sound decisions that move projects forward effectively.
This role is expected to escalate issues to Director/Manager App Dev in a timely manner in order to prevent project delays and take ownership of estimating development effort for these projects. The incumbent must foster a team environment where all members are included in the solution. Their team includes other Senior Engineers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts, System Architects, and DBAs
What skills, experience and education you need to succeed:
- 6+ years of full-stack Software Engineering experience and current expertise in C#, .Net, with at least 2 years of services-based development experience
- Building high-quality, cross-browser compatible, high-performance n-tier .NET web applications with IIS, SQL Server, Transact SQL
- Azure SQL DB, Document DB, Azure cloud services & Azure Storage, Azure Service Bus
- Strong knowledge of SOA, object-oriented programming, design patterns, multi-threaded application development. Soap and Rest Web Service development
- Strong knowledge in WCF and Web Services
- Working knowledge of JavaScript, HTTP, JSON, AJAX, and RESTful API, multi-tenancy, horizontal scale, microservices, containers,
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including test automation and continuous integration
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Strong problem solving skills, ability to work within a high-performing team and challenge yourself and the team to improve further
- BS degree in Computer Science is preferred
